SAVE AS [Arab Spring]

The first Save As collection was a reflection on the Arab Spring events ongoing since January 2011 and how they have experienced worldwide via web.

Designers participating in this platform were asked to design an object of memory as a response to their personal experience in this context. The object was designed for AM technologies and presented on an online platform as a digital 3d file free for download. The objects collection (Memorabilia) allowed people to select their own figure of memory, download and print the object for themselves.

Save As platform aspires to democratize national narratives and reintroduce selecting, editing and curating actions to the experience of memory in a post digital era.
