Material Behaviour

Digital Matter

How can language expand imagination, and the creative dialogue with generative models?

Digital Matter is an ongoing research project into digital materiality: the way a digital entity can appear, and sometimes act, as though it has physical presence and tactile qualities.

I sculpt material entities with words, using a linguistic taxonomy and a dialogic agent I designed, and ask what happens when a native Hebrew speaker prompts an English-speaking machine.

The project treats the gap between languages, and between a maker and a model, as material to work with.
